The majority of people have not got the time and patience to keep contacting their prospects when the majority of them will say no quite a few times before they actually buy. This is where it pays you to set up a good autoresponder to do all that boring repetitive sales work for you.
The autoresponder can take all the hard work out of the sale, when you think there is so many different types of buyer, there is the type that will come back for weeks on end before buying, and then there is the type that will buy before even seeing the product.
You must always remember that even if you have got a fantastic sales page there is only going to be a very low amount of people that actually buy on their first visit to the sales page. It has always been a well known fact that most of the conversions will come after they have visited the sales page quite a few times. Basically it gives your future customers plenty of time to do their research and feel comfortable with what they are buying.
It goes without say that you will improve your chances by adding a bonus or giving them a discount and you can always try and get a joint venture partner, or even a good copy writer to do a good sales letter for you.
Let’s face it there are quite a few ways of cutting the odds of making your sale, but the good old dependable autoresponder is always going to be your number one sales person to do all the hard work for you.
Try to keep all of your lists in their relevant niches, being when you come to broadcast an email you want the sales page to be something that they are interested in. Make sure that when prospects have subscribed to your list that there is a bank of follow up emails in your autoresponder that will go out to them over the course of two or tree weeks, this will keep them interested and hopefully buy at a later stage. For example on my last campaign I had a bank of fifteen emails, and I set them to go out at three day intervals. Don’t forget you can go back to your autoresponder at any time and add as many follow up emails as you want.
The whole purpose of the autoresponder is it gives you the free time to do the other tasks that you need to do to keep your business running smoothly, because you know that as soon as someone subscribes to your list everything goes into auto pilot and all your prospects will receive over the course of the next few weeks all of the follow up emails from your autoresponder,
keeping them interested or hopefully buying. This constant flow of emails to your customers gives them a reason to trust you and form the right sort of relationship with them.
Don’t forget you are trying to help these people improve their life in one way or another ,you are not trying to shove something down their throat, make sure you are always sending them good quality information, constantly helping them out. Try to make them understand why this product will help them and hopefully change their lives.
Remember the more convincing your bank of follow up emails are, the more likely you are of making that sale. It is also very important that after you have made your sale that you keep in touch with your customers with another series of emails and then the likelihood is they will buy again.
There is many different autoresponders out there ,but I personally use Aweber and get all of this for under $20 a month, and in hind sight I think it is the best $20 a month I have ever spent. Aweber is user friendly and has got tutorial videos to get you up and running ,so you need for nothing, Give Aweber a try you will not be disappointed.

Derek,
Yep, Aweber is a killer great service.
Never really thought of my autoresponder as my salesperson… But it makes a whole lot of sense.
Thanks for that.
